I was thinking this the other day because even though there's no punishment or reason not to, I never inbreed Chocobos in FFVII. Just because it feels wrong.

And in This War of Mine I never burn books. Even though books have like no purpose just because I saw the characters talk about how much difference having something to read means.

Also in FFX I like to kill BFA with the sword Tidus starts with.

I'm sure there are others that will come to me.

Have you ever done things that make no difference gameplay or story wise whatsoever and actually hinder you, just because somehow you are invested in the characters/world?
