Hell, I've lost track of how many Mewtwos I have at this point after importing from each game since FR/LG.

Don't get me wrong, CE: I'm very interested in the new pokemon fusion's, legendaries, moves, Z-Powers, and UB's, and how they'll also shape into the metagame.

It was a well-received feature of ORAS, and SM were not overly well-received on their own. It also pads out postgame content, for which SM was severely lacking.

Because it's a good thing that fans wanted and they actually listened for once. It was a great idea in ORAS, it's going to be a good one here too. I wish Mythicals weren't so hard to come by, I'm sad I missed Mew and Celebi when they were giving out all of those codes in the anniversary year :( My Gamestop didn't have the codes yet the first day it came out and then somehow ran out of codes by the next week. Made me mad and I actually ended up forgetting about Celebi because of it.

Still missing Diancie as well, rip.

To be fair, you're paying for Gold and/or Silver. Granted, the original gen 2 games are pretty garbage.

Yeah, I know I would never play G/S original. I'm not even sure if I'd be willing to go back to HGSS, though I might. Pokemon's one of the series where I really have trouble going back to previous Gens because they add a lot of stuff that makes life much easier as you progress through the generations. Only exception right now is 6 to 7 jump where there was a lot of stuff ORAS and X/Y introduced that SUMO dropped that makes me still level up and raise Pokemon in the former when I have the chance.

I know. The training you do in pokemon games like in my OR file for example are nothing to get upset about. I have maxed out the clock for OR and I plan to do a lot of future training in-game and also to do some battling online if I can find some people on this site willing to do so.

Though quite frankly Mew and Celebi are easily the most frequently distributed mythicals. It won't take long for other distributions to start up.

Celebi Mew Hoopa and Diancie are the ones I'm missing.

Hoopa is really annoying because it had like two random distributions that weren't even broadcasted that were like a week long each in the past two years. Diancie, I'm not sure when she was distributed but clearly I missed it.

So you can actually use them online. The game blocks transferred stuff unless you play free battles.

One benefit of buying G/S and R/B/Y is that you can get a shit ton of shinies relatively easy, if that's your thing. Send the Red Gyarados into R/B/Y, have a Ditto copy it, then catch the Ditto and send it back to G/S. Instant shiny Ditto, which means anything you breed with it will have a 1/64 chance of being shiny.

As for the returning legendaries... It always kind of pissed me off. Like, I went through all the hours of playing Gen III to import legendaries, but it meant nothing by Gen V because HG/SS just had them again. Then they didi it again in Gen VI.

Is that a SUMO thing? I know I could use my Gen 4 Pokemon in ORAS on PSS. Does SUMO prevent everything not caught in Gen 7 because that's really lame if true... Or is it something like prior to get Gen 4 or something?

Diancie had a Gamestop serial code event back in October 2014, with a makeup event over Wifi in July 2015. Hoopa had an almost month long event... at McDonalds. That was in 2015. It had a makeup event in the form of a universal code that lasted for about 6 days in October last year.

Only ones I'm missing are Volcanion and Marshadow, because I refuse to go to Gamestop just to get some stupid code.

Yeah, Diancie serial code I know I missed. I forgot why, but Hoopa is the most frustrating since it has these weird events with no advertising and then it has those random really short events. There was another one that was a week long that you had to get the code from a random magazine that I can't remember. So dumb.

I even subscribe to the Pokemon Reddit for this stuff, lol. Sometimes I just windup missing it... I dunno how. Well, it's not like I can use them in competitive battles anyway, I guess.

Oh and I have a Marsahdow code but I accidentally scrapped it too much and I can't read three of the letters/numbers lol. Sometimes I wish I was one of those greedy bastards that grab more than one code.

Bulbapedia has a full list of events. I remember reading through it when I was trying to figure out if I missed a Hoopa distribution.
