Let's do a Paradox topic, as a lot is going down. Feel free to share your (mis)adventures.

Crusader Kings 2 is getting a new expansion(Jade Dragon), which is rumored to be the penultimate CK2 DLC. Jade Dragon is mostly focused around simulating China as an off-map power which on-map rulers can interact with(and that China can interact with). The expansion itself seems strong, with the caveat that it applies almost exclusively to the eastern end of the map, so definitely not worth it if that's not your cup of tea.

Europa Universalis IV is also getting an expansion, the Cradle of Civilization. It focuses on mechanics for Middle Eastern and Near Eastern powers(particularly the Mamluks, Aq Qoyunlu, Qara Qoyunlu, Persia, and the Timurids) as well as a (dubious) professionalism mechanic for armies.
The patch has all the good stuff, so it should be easy to pass on CoC, is what I'm saying, as it seems imminently extraneous.

Stellaris is currently being overhauled in a giga-patch with no firm release date, as of yet. The patch, among other things, brings starbases(which completely replace spaceports and outposts), needing to build outposts(level 0 starbases) to claim systems, a complete overhaul of FTL travel(warp and wormholes are dead), and galactic terrain(pulsars disable shields, ships cannot see into systems in nebulae, etc.) Details below.

Wormholes can crop up as natural features, and there will be gates that allow point-to-point warping(and you'll be able to build you own). Jump Drives and Psy Jump Drives will have limited Warp-like capabilities. But yes, Hyperlanes are the default.

The problem is that it's dated. And more importantly, you need to take classes in economics to get the economy to fucking work right.

Speaking of Victoria, Paradox does have a number of as-of-yet unrevealed internal projects, so there is yet hope that we shall be graced by the most perfect of games: Victoria III.

the devs said in a CK2 stream that after Jade Dragon expansion - they have 1 more major DLC after it and then they're done with CK2.

i hope crusades get some adjustment after china stuff.

JEsus fucking hell. I hope they release a CK2 Complete with all the DLC at the cost of the main game. Because it's like a 250$USD game at this point with all the DLC.
