I remember in the early days (mid 2000's I think), my response rate on sites like plenty of fish and okcupid was like 1 in 5. now I'd be lucky to get 1 in 50

I wasn't on it back in the day, but I'm going to assume it's saturation. Nowadays, my attractive friends all use online dating to meet girls, so my odds have decreased as an average looking individual.

Ever heard of the 4 sixes?

6 feet tall, 6 figure salary, 6 pack abs and 6 inch manhood at a minimum. Girls nowadays really post this.

It's guy's fault though. Even '4 sixes' guys will bang an ogre. The ogres feel they're being taken seriously, but they aren't, so they perceive that is their value on the market.

It's a numbers game. I helped my aunt set up an account on POF several months after her divorce. She had more than 50 messages in about an hour and literally could not respond to them fast enough. If she didn't like the guy's pic, she immediately deleted the message. If you want a response, you have to up your picture game. Women don't have enough time to even view all of the messages they get.

That's pretty normal, too. Odds just are not in favor for a guy, so it's best to wait for a girl to message you, or if y'all match.

I would say my hit rate was about 1 in 5. I am well-educated, tall, and muscular. I sent long, detailed messages describing something we had in common. The struggle was real.

Coffee Meets Bagel is the best app out there that I found, I had way more success with that than Tinder or Bumble or any of the other ones.
