Snow Halation pretty great.

The episode itself was weird though. Why would we ever just show the girls walking to a concert like a normal day? No. Why do that when instead we can show them battling a desolate BLIZZARD while trying in vain to get to the venue, and then have them be saved just in the nick of time by their earnest dedication and THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP? Sometimes I don't know how to react to this show.

Believe it or not I haven't cared much about the music generally speaking. I've liked the show mostly for other reasons. Before Snow Halation though I was a pretty big fan of this one if it counts:

Also I'm curious about something if anyone knows the answer to this. How big was the whole Love Live thing before they made the anime? Trying to figure out if this was an anime about an already big thing or if they gained most of their popularity as a result of the anime.

The thing that always gets me in Anohana is the goddamn ED playing while stuff is still happening. I'm convinced that fucking song made me tear up in more than a few episodes because of its placement. It definitely made me cry at the ending and I've watched that at least 4 times lol.

I think the anime was the thing to begin with? I mean, the project was for an actual idol group formation, but the anime was in the initial roll out. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I started crying real bad once they started reading the notes, and that lasted a while. I was actually incredibly surprised because I did not expect that to happen to me, came out of nowhere.

ED songs that start before the credits are always PRO. FMA and Hunter x Hunter being some top examples.

I don't know when the anime was announced, but based on the Wikipedia page they were making songs 3 years before the anime aired, which is why I'm asking.

Quick research suggests the characters/designs/general story were already existent from the beginning, and probably an anime and/or manga or whatever were always part of the plan. But, I don't know exactly how the anime actually factors into this or in the public's reception to the franchise.

Hourou Musuko was decent. I think it didn't adapt the whole manga though? I can't really remember

There's just something about that last episode that makes me cry. Maybe it's because Jintan was being an incredible dumbass mistreating Menma even when given a second chance. I pretty much start crying when Menma starts writing the letters.

Galileo Galilei also disbanded last year. Sad stuff because they usually have solid songs.

I liked Spice and Wolf a lot more than Hourou Musuko is those are the two shows you're deciding between.

I've been itching for another show like Spice and Wolf for a while actually, but I don't know anything that captures the same feeling.

I only watched it at first because the whole idea of "lol Sunrise doing an idol anime" was amusing enough to me.

It's like I watched it as it was airing, thought it was fairly good, and then immediately forgot about it once it finished.

It wasn't until Season 2 and SIF that I really got into it.

Some people got annoyed by the discussion but it still stayed in the anime topic because it started to die down after a few months. This was when it was me, voltch, Eddv, Wang, and arti discussing about it in the anime topics.

Once BK and swordz started to play is when I decided we had a good amount of people to bring it to a separate topic.

The topics are still here, but activity really died down. Mainly because most of our discussion is done on Discord.

Oh right, speaking of watching anime. I finished One Punch Man recently.

I figured that if there was one show I should watch on Dasuki before it went kaput that would be it, but I ended up being off by a day on when it would shutdown and had to finish the last 2 episodes elsewhere. \_()_/

Anyways, I thought it was pretty good. I could see people getting tired of Saitama being really OP and pretty much one shotting most of the enemies, but I didn't really mind. It felt more like a gag anime anyways. Animation was fantastic as well.

Maybe I'm remembering wrong, but did people start losing hype in Season 2? Oh...it's being animated by J.C.Staff instead of Madhouse. That must be it.
