The same answer as if it was PS4 vs Xbox One. The PS4 simply because of the exclusives. If I cared about having the most powerful gaming platform I'd game on the PC.

If I had to have only one of those? What does that mean? Do I not have the option to play games on anything else in the hypothetical, or am I just being offered one for free?

If I'm only allowed to play games on one, the Xbox One X is the correct answer. It's significantly more powerful and Microsoft doesn't have shitty mod policies for games like Skyrim and Fallout 4.

If I'm just getting one for free, the correct answer is still Xbox One X because it's more expensive and I'd just sell it and keep playing games on PC.

PlayStation is the weeb machine.

My choice is clear.

Yes, but it is still not a go to controller for me. My main complaint it is feels too small, and neither controller really addressees that. Hence why I like the bigger Xbox controllers (in fact I loved the original fat controller).

My only real complaint about the Xbox controllers is that you need to buy a separate battery pack for it to be rechargeable.

Whichever costs more so i can sell it for a switch, i have a normal ps4 and no real need for a xbox.

The last exclusive I cared about on Xbox was Fable. And that was killed off a long time ago. I mostly use my PC, but there have been several exclusives on the PS4 that I've enjoyed. The PS4 has more RPGs for me.

Not a console gamer, and gave up on the PC horsepower race in 2000 because every upgrade was obsolete within a month or two.

If I had to choose, PS4 because of Gran Turismo, Grand Theft Auto, etc., and Vita crossplay.

I upgraded my computer a year and a half ago, and that was the first time since six years before that. PC games have tons of settings, so older stuff will still run newer games fine, just maybe not as pretty.

do i get to keep my PC?

if so, whichever one has the highest retail value when i sell that fucker

PS4. I already have a significant library for it between cross buy titles and some other stuff I got from sales since me getting the system in the future for exclusives is a given.

For the XBox, I have a couple of old 360 games I never sold in hopes I could someday emulate the system and that is about it. I'd want to play one XBO exclusive, anything else I'd try was released after the point that PC versions had to happen.

I upgraded my computer a year and a half ago, and that was the first time since six years before that. PC games have tons of settings, so older stuff will still run newer games fine, just maybe not as pretty.

I'll give him that his argument was valid back then because there were hundreds of graphic devices and it seemed like once one came out it was replaced with a new one a few months later and yours was no longer supported. Hell, it was worse in the 90's when you also had to deal with sound cards, disk formats, and other stuff.

But yea, nowadays with everything being either NVidia or AMD (and everything supporting them) and with hardware not really advancing at a fast pace anymore you can go a long time without needing to upgrade. My last computer lasted me like 8 years, and I only replaced the video card twice in that time (only one of which was a necessity, the other I did because I got a really good deal).

X1X is more impressive but PS4 has the better games

so i bought the xbox one x last night. i have to say the jump from old xbox one to this is a jump. i didn't feel a big jump from ps4 to ps4 pro. But this one i was like "damn!!!!! this looks so good" Gears 3 cutscenes look like crap compared to gears 3 gameplay. Gears 4 hdr and resolution looks so good.

Maybe i didn't have that many hdr pro supported games and the first one i got to play that was fully supported was final fantasy 15 (i didn't play before getting the ps4 pro.)

i'm watching videos from the difference from ps4 pro and xbox one and xbox one is slighlty better. it feel like that ps4 to ps4 pro jump. you won't be able to tell unless you see them side to side.

Either way i still rather have a ps4 because of the exclusive titles that i want to play. i will by more third party for xbox one x though, before i didn't buy any xbox one 3rd party games. I think i have only 9 xbox one titles that i actually bought. All xbox one exclusive games i will buy them but play them on my pc since they are cross buy, play and save.
