Is it bad that I genuinely dont care and I would just rather play guitar? Ive rejected a number of women in the last 3 years, I just dont give a rats ass about dating. I guess I made this topic because Im sick of people thinking Im weird. Every damn family gathering I have nosey aunts and cousins talking about me not dating and how its not normal etc.

Im pretty much asexual. I mean Im attracted to women but I think because I have slight autism that I just cant comprehend a lot of emotions that go with sex and relationships. Id rather play guitar, hit the gym or play games with friends. Fuck I had had times where I have a slight crush on a girl and as I get to know them my feelings turn into that of friendship rather than seeing her as a potential partner. I just dont comprehend feelings of attraction properly, I guess.

Do what makes you happy. Dating for the sake of it and doing what others want instead of what you want wont make you happy. Normal is relative and it's obvious not everyone is meant for what is considered a societal norm too. I think you should stand up for your choices and say fuck em all. If you want then detail exactly why you do what you do and not what they want.

I'm not in the same situation as you but since childhood I was the "weird one" of the family so learned to stand my ground about not doing what was considered normal around me and not caring what they or anyone else thought about it.

Thanks, man. I was the outcast of my siblings. I am a smart person, but my siblings were geniuses while I was pretty average, but shined in my own fields.

I'm the same way as you (same interests and all), but I usually still have a girl I'm sort of seeing/sleeping with. Like a friends with benefits type of deal. That works okay for me. It's nice having someone to do stuff with sometimes like grab dinner or watch a movie, and the sex is nice too.

I think it's because I didn't date growing up, it's not a natural or comfortable thing for me to do and now maybe it never will be. I learned to be 100% self-sufficient and happy on my own, so throwing another person into the mix kind of ruins that for me and breaks apart all my routines and my progression toward my own personal goals.

The thought of getting married and having kids just doesn't exist to me. I don't envision myself ever doing either of those things no matter what. I don't think I can get emotionally invested in anyone enough to make it worthwhile.

Do whatever you wanted, dont force yourself into society's standard, life is yours not them.

If it makes you happy, do it. It can be lonely, because most people will fit into the the hollow, but accept tje fact that youre destined to be a misfit, and roam free in the world
