Washington broadband and spectrum are all I'm aware of. Washington broadband is less reliable than dialup.

2: Spectrum (almost said Time Warner because I am so used to calling them that) and a local phone company. That local phone company only offers really bad DSL, so in all honesty Spectrum is the only one.

I'm surprised so many people know how many ISPs they have in their area. The best answer I can give is at least 2: the one I used to have, and the one I currently have. There could very well be more than two, though.

I try (and fail) to shop around because I REALLY hate Spectrum. Unfortunately my options are Spectrum, that local DSL which isn't even powerful enough to handle VPN, dial-up, or nothing.

A bunch. I live in the middle of nowhere but there's strangely a lot of market competition for it here.

Smallish, but Spectrum is in a bunch of major cities, so it doesn't just appeal to small towns. It used to be Time Warner Cable.
