With One Pieces popularity growing, it is only a matter of time before the massive series overtakes an American comic book icon in sales. Earlier this year, reports confirmed that One Piece has sold 430 million copies worldwide. Batmans sales are sitting around 460 million, leaving the caped crusader in danger of falling behind the Straw Hat pirates.

Batman of course had a 58 year headstart and is currently portrayed by the worst Batman ever..

I'm not sure what they're actually comparing on the Batman side. If it's TPBs, those typically do less business than actual comics. And I'm assuming it has to be TPBs since it's pretty much impossible for it to have outsold the comic books in number since it has 12 monthly issues per title (excluding specials) and Batman often has multiple titles.
