I think my friends list irl needs a purge because I'm tired of all the lies and the drama that goes along with it. How do you feel about so-called friends who can't be honest with you?

Your joking right? Everybody lies. If someone says they dont lie, then they are lying. Im not trying to sound mean or anything.

It seems like you just find their drama to be tiring. Which is fine, if you find the drama between friends to be something you dont like then feel free to distance yourself from it ether temporarily or outright cut off.

I myself give my friends the benefit of the doubt but always have some caution in blindly believing whatever they say. I dont mind if they lie (as long as its nothing serious) as i dont expect that everyone is always 100% honest. Im not.

Obviously I'm not talking about white lies or exaggerations. I'm talking about constant lies where the person can no longer be trusted about anything.

If somebody is consistently lying about stuff I find meaningful, I tend to distance myself from them.

If its a type of relationship where trust is needed then i can see it becoming a problem and i might outright break it off with them, for example if my girlfriend completely loses my trust i would break it off.

Though for me if its just friends i judge the person based on how trustworthy they are. It might sound a little dark but if someone gives me no reason to trust them then i simply stop trusting them and then it no longer becomes a problem.

I had someone like that in my life and it made my life hell.

Never again will I make the same mistake.

I think we all lie, at least once in awhile. However, there are friends who deceive and betray you. I cut a few of them out of my life. That is one reason I can't trust people.

I have no friends at all. Never have, never will and that's one of the main reasons I'm jaded and bitter about life.

This. If someone has a tendency to lie to me about what I consider to be meaningful issues, and I find out about it, odds are we're going to rapidly cease to be friends.

Honestly, I've cut people out of my life over less.
