Yes, aLttP was basically the first of the Zelda games to implement this idea in full, outside of your usual RPG or adventure fare with opening pathways (with bombs, hammers, etc.,). In aLttP it was more like, "Hey, do this thing at World A's location X, and see what happens to World B's location X." Or, "Use World B location Y to reach World A's location Y or Z, and then back again to World B's location Z." Additionally, aLttP was before the traveling companions introduced by OoT, so... wait, where are you going?
