Actually, all beer has hops, IPAs just have the most, therefore, by drinking one you are getting the most antibiotic compounds the hop plant provides. Or find some hop tea.

and no, there really isn't. they're unfounded claims. there's only two, one having to do with ethanol production, and one having to do with chickens.

you literally never hear someone suggest beer as a means of medication. to drown your sorrows, sure, but to heal a cold or something? no.

even if hops had any antibiotic properties, the act of actually extracting them is incredibly difficult and it's not going to happen while brewing alcohol.

I said antibiotic, not antimicrobial, besides alcohol's antimicrobial action is only due to the dehydration effect. Hops actually contain antibiotic compounds.

and if you did want to use hops, you would have to just eat them, or otherwise extract the two compunds yourself, and just consume that. in beer? in beer it does nothing to help you.
