TrevorBlack79 11/15/17 1:35:12 AM #10:	TNG = DS9 (depending on if I want to watch episodic or serialized ST) > VOY > ENT > ToS I only rank ENT above ToS because ToS is too damn cheezy. ENT is much worse for its era, with inexcusable writing and lame attempts at fan service, but ToS has aged horribly, making it borderline unwatchable to me. TNG and DS9 are the obvious powerhouses. Not much to say here. VOY has a lot of bad. Poor planning on the part of the writers, ignoring Voyager's limited crew and resources. I can count the likable characters on one hand, and only two of them are developed in any way over the course of the show. Janeway is the worst captain. Ever. But there's some really good stuff. Most episodes revolving around 7 and the Doctor are really good. Same with Icheb. My favorite episodes heavily involve him, Child's Play and Imperfection. There are some gems in VOY, but you really have to dig to find them. I haven't watched STD (lol) yet, and from the sound of things I'm not missing much. Honorable mention to The Orville. Definitely get that TNG vibe here, albeit with much more comedy, obviously. --- "a minority is someone who you can tell off the bat they are black/hispanic/colored. The weakest regular is probably Jake, and even he's not too bad. The Ferengi other than Quark are pretty annoying, but their screen time is mostly limited. Bashir can be a little too pompous also, but his character is improved significantly when you learn his backstory. He actually had some pretty good episodes. He was also unique in that he was the first main character in Star Trek that had no interest in becoming a Star Fleet Officer. To me the weakest character was Dax (until she got replaced). I just instantly tune out at those Trill heavy episodes. She was a great supporting character but I just wasnt a fan when the story focused on her. There is an episode in the first season where she is put on trial for a murder that Kurzon was accused of. That was pretty good. I get why someone would say that Jake is the weakest, but I still think Quark had the worst episodes.
