I don't think I ever did. I had some weekly chores I had to do, though. Got a job at 16, and haven't had a single moment of unemployment in 11 years. Fuck an allowance.

There's this spoiled little fuck that's on probation in my court. His parents are both doctors, and literally gave him an allowance of 30k a year. I wish I was joking.

Yup. Started in about 4th grade and was also tasked with some yardwork and domestic duties on a weekly/biweekly basis. Started at $5/wk, forget was it was in early high school.

Before 4th grade I was living overseas, there wasn't anything to really spend money on. Buuuut, I was given a stipend every summer to get me all sorts of games/toys/media to last me the next 9 months.
