I had to watch it because my wife is Catholic, but compared to other faith based flick it's certainly much better than the likes of God's not Dead. Interesting premise, but too bad it's a preaching to the choir kind of movie that has no respect for the viewers intelligence.

Then don't turn it into a movie.

i remember thinking it looked interesting from the trailers but haven't seen it. Is it super over the top christian, or is it more just a story set in the Christian cinematic universe?

Like God's Not Dead was obviously made by Christians for Christians

but movies like The 10 Commandments and Jesus Christ Superstar have universal appeal despite having a "pro-God" interpretation.

It shows how the Romans treated before and after his crucifixion and death and resurrection.

Go ahead, but don't disrespect the viewers intelligence by turning it into propaganda. I mean if you just wanted only Christians to view it, make it available as a dvd/blu ray at your local Christian store instead of making it a full fledged theatrical movie that is going to be viewed by a lot of non-Christians.

It's not over the top like God's not Dead and it is set in a Christian cinematic universe as in there's only one kind of interpretation and answer.

Honestly, my favorite movie "religious" movie would probably be Prince of Egypt. From the animation (other than the God awful "angel of death plasma"), to the songs, to the voice acting, to the tension between Moses and Ramses (they're not brothers in the bible, but adding that part in did make the chemistry between both of them more emotionally driven), it's one of my favorite animated movies.

It's not propaganda if the information in the movies is actually representative of what is true. In God's Not Dead, you have people overcoming victory in the midst of impossible circumstances. Jesus is bigger than you. I believe that you don't watch movies because of the implications. Also, tell your wife that because there are such movies out there that are excellent, that does not mean they aren't due to ignorant people claiming they're not. How you even watched every movie you claim is propaganda in their entirety? If not, why not?

Yes I have, from innocent movies like Fireproof (which had lol acting and questionable plot devices, but I give it a pass for the car train scene and the message is nice enough) to pure propaganda shit like God's not Dead and God's no Dead 2, both in which are based off from strawmans. God's not Dead claims for the Professor to be an atheist, when he's just a Christian who's mad at God for the death of his grandma. Then you have God's not Dead 2 which was so stupid I don't even know where to begin. Like how she could've easily explained that she was just answering a question, but no she couldn't answer it straight forward like that so you have this overlong and stupid court case that shouldn't even happen to begin with.

Its one of the best Biblical movies Ive ever seen, though thats not saying much. Its a good story and not preachy. In fact, the way it portrays skepticism is very grounded and engaging.
