There's a move called stealth rocks that causes damage based on weakness (or resistance) to rock type when a pokemon enters the field. Because Ninjask is Bug/Flying, it takes maximum damage from stealth rocks and loses half of its health just for entering the field. That along with its poor attack stat and it not having any really good bug, flying, or coverage moves (the best thing it has to hit steel types is dig) just means that damn near any other bug or flying type is better. Don't let that dissuade you from using your favorite mon, though! It's bad, but not completely useless and with enough creativity, you can probably build a decent team around it.
