too many superior cheesy bean and rice burritos could have been bought with the amount I spent on these

Some shitty stuff that I don't really use. I have to get some good equipment to listen to them, but I mostly buy the vinyl just to support the bands

i got into vinyl a few months ago. i figured that if i wanted to continue to buy physical it was time to get off CDs. it's kinda fun to go to record stores and dig through the bins of older LPs, you never know what you're gonna find. last time i went i found a really old live Miles Davis album (At the Filmore). it has a decent amount of surface noise on it and the cover is pretty beat up but it's neat.

The Darkside of the Moon
Immigrant Song single

That's it. I've got a Rock Me Amadeus / Vienna Calling EP somewhere, but I haven't seen it in decades.

what's your set up like for playing? what equipment did you get? also I think I should go do that soon at some record shops, bargain bins seem like a good place to pick up random gems

i have a 5.1 system with a Denon receiver which I use for everything (PC, consoles, etc). i originally had a full set of five Definitive Audio speakers/subwoofer, which was fine for a while. but after getting my turntable, which only uses the front L/R speakers, i found the sound was lacking especially in the bass department. i was considering an upgrade to my speakers anyway, but that was the catalyst that pushed me to get a pair of Klipsch RF-28s as the front left/right speakers. they are fucking awesome and i love them. my 5.1 setup is dramatically better after getting those and when listening to records just those two speakers are more than powerful enough.

my turntable is a Crosley C-100, which I have connected to the receiver through normal analog (red/white) audio cables. i did some research on /r/vinyl before getting it, it seemed to be the "entry level" table they recommended the most.

I was suggested a few turntables so I might buy them as they're purported to be very good quality. I'll need to figure out speakers then, my current equipment is so garbage that I don't use it because I cheaped out and got what I paid for lol

headphones are the great equalizer. I invested in a pair of Sennheiser HD 558s at best buy for $80. Amazing headphones, kinda tight on the head at first.

one cd and a couple cassettes. cassettes I got with a box set, and one I bought specifically because I'm a fanboy.

yeah man, the great annihilator was repressed and it used to be super expensive. might want to jump on that. and soundtracks for the blind is their next pressing. first time ever. I'm buying that so fucking hard.
