yes i get discounts on all products from the company, including gaming stuff.

that's why i bought a prebuilt gaming PC instead of building my own like i normally do. I compared the price of the prebuilt (with my discount) and the one i would have bought the parts for, and the prebuilt was like $150 cheaper and came with the OS. plus the prebuilt saves me time and effort

dude, you're gettin' a Dell

are Dells still considered bad or something, my current PC is a dell and it's treated me well for the past 4 years. I just wanted to upgrade, kinda curious what the issue would be with a prebuilt dell when all the parts are legitimate parts you know

It's about the individual parts.

And dell likes to cut up the mobos and make it difficult to update parts down the road. Especially if it's a smaller case.

You really shouldn't be buying a new pc every 4 years. After your initial build you upgrade a key part each year. When you start that process depends on how much you spent on your initial build.

lol i was just funnin' you with their old slogan

they aren't necessarily bad, it's just that 99% of the time you could buy the parts that are in it and assemble them yourself for cheaper than what the prebuilt costs. or you could get better parts if you know what and where to buy.

oh wow I forgot about that lol

usually that's the case but recently it hasn't really been cheaper, it's usually around the same or you end up coming out with a better deal on a prebuilt since GPU and RAM prices have gone up or stay around MSRP now

Mobo and PSU are probably crap, rest is decent.

Get a SSD at least for Windows, it's criminal not to for a build like that.

I have heard rumours (or as you in the States call it, rumors) about the Xbox One X's diminutive footprint & internal components capable of tremendous graphical performance

It's got a 2 gen old mid range non overclockable CPU. With things moving more to higher core counts and games finally starting to take advantage of that having that CPU could start hurting you not to long down the road if you plan to keep it for awhile.
Hopefully it was like $800 or so.

i mean i don't see why not unless if you're being a huge nerd who thinks building your pc is actually worth it right now instead of paying attention to what's going on!!!
