Canadians have their own Thanksgiving already, so fuck Slurpee. I don't know about Finnish holidays, maybe they do too.

Instead I'll wish everyone a great day that may or may not be Thanksgiving where you live

And thanks for the wishes. We don't celebrate Thanksgiving here. I'm glad since American holidays have been more and more prevalent over the past decades over here, too. Halloween, for example, is huge and Black Friday has become a massive thing over here in only a matter of years.

The next holiday over here is our independence day on the 6th of December. Finland celebrates it's 100th birthday. It's a pretty solemn celebration since maybe a few hundred of the people who fought for us to remain independent still live and it's still only 75 years ago since the Soviets tried to invade us.

But happy Thanksgiving to all of you and I still get to enjoy watching football in the evening instead of the middle of the night.

I just got back from dinner with my stepdad's family. His sister was lecturing me about the Pepsi I was drinking and telling me how I was going to get cancer. I joked about getting a drone on sale tonight and she told me to be careful because people are weaponizing them now. She denounced my Galaxy S5 because android is hackable and spies on me unlike her blackberry. She said her doctor is full of shit because he told her she needs to reduce her cholesterol and she knows she doesn't need to because she remembers the recommended amount from the 80s (despite her being obese). And there was a half hour of her talking about how the minorities are conspiring against white people to take their jobs. There was a lot more but my brain shut off before I was forced to absorb any more.

At least the food was good. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.

Everyone was talking about the moment where they finally snapped this year. My cousin said her friend's therapy is mainly dealing with Trump therapy and her therapist took her phone and unfollowed Trump for her.

I went to my aunt's house on my mom's side of the family for Thanksgiving in Wisco. Been there plenty of times, but not for Thanksgiving. They all love mich golden, the packers, and hunting.
There were no less than 10 mounted deer/elk in their basement, which is where I spent most of the time watching football with my dad and brother. People who weren't cooking would come down and hang and talk. They made it clear they all hate the vikings, but were cool for the most part and nothing really awkward happened, or "crazy relative family stories"

None of my extended family live anywhere near Colorado and we've basically never got together with them for Thanksgiving. Ages ago my aunt and her family lived here and we'd have Thanksgivings together but they were cool.

I played some Kirby's Dream Course with my mom. I'm kind of surprised by how fun it is. It doesn't seem very long though unless there's an unlockable course. But I guess you could get some decent replay value out of doing trickshots through all the courses

- Asked the game viewers for name suggestions
- Didn't have a name picked out before the child was born

Is that bad? Well, I don't wanna say bad, but how tacky is that? Maybe not the last one because I've heard of parents getting inspiration for the name once they saw the child... but I feel like you at least should have one planned out

Or am I just a bitter, angry man ruining what is supposed to be a cute story

I know you don't like downloading roms but you could always download those game grumps courses that people made for them

Well, I still have to play the rest of the real game, and I don't know if I like it that much. I'm not super against ROMs but for a game like that it almost seems like it defeats the purpose to play it on a PC. Maybe they'd work on a modded SNES Classic too.

Are any of you doing any BF shopping? I don't even know if there's anything I want this year. You might recall that last year I failed to score any of the 3DS deals

I heard that they weren't exactly sure when she was going to give birth, and everson went to the game. Turns out it happened (somewhat) unexpectedly shortly before the game was starting, so they apparently facetimed. He then spontaneously wrote the "what should we name him" in marker on the t shirt under his jersey.
They didn't have a name picked out obviously, but they're adults and parents and can make their own decisions
I think that I personally would have a name picked out when having a kid but that's just me

Well that kind of sucks it happened too early. I guess at least it wasn't in the middle of the game when he wouldn't have been able to see it at all.

If I was an athlete I'd definitely try to line it up so my kid was born in the offseason, but of course they can make their own decisions, like you said. I guess some couples also try conceiving for months before it works out, and in that case, I probably wouldn't wait another year just so I could hit on an offseason

At least he's not like Adrian Peterson, who probably still has kids he doesn't know about and pays at least 10 grand a month in child support

I just saw on Twitter that everson's baby came 3 and a half weeks early and was very unexpected. I guess in that case it's not totally crazy to not have a name yet, but then again some people how what they want to name their future kids years before they even conceive

Peterson can show him how to take the switch to his kids

I think we should be glad Andrew Luck isn't playing because that Indy line is a trainwreck. Brisket has been sacked 8 times through three quarters and IIRC the Jags sacked him ten times earlier in the year

Although I don't know if Luck is going to come back as his normal self at this point... or if Indy will fix their line by then (they won't)
