It was just garbage time, but that's probably true. He really deserved that benching weeks ago though. How awful do you have to be that you give way to Osweiler and Lynch? This whole season is just a trainwreck. It's not normal to have all three of your QBs bouncing around from starter to backup to third stringer

Hundley was apparently not sucking when I was driving home. He is back to playing like himself again though.

McCarthy went full McCarthy at the end though, calling the worst possible playcall on third and 13 when Pittsburgh had three timeouts. They easily stopped the draw, called timeout, and had the ball with plenty of time. They finished the game with one timeout. He literally accomplished nothing with that call but ensuring Pittsburgh would have a chance to win it.

Wow. That tied the longest field goal at Hienz. Fucking Steelers. And now Duke is within 2 at 33-31 after being down 18-4. Both those teams winning on the same night is never fun.

I don't think he gets fired until Rodgers is gone and it's clear just how bad of a coach he really is

It's been assumed that it was Rodgers playing and not the coaching that was keeping the Packers in contention.After this season it is clear McCarthy makes bad decisions and isn't a good head coach for a team. I hope he's fired soon or at least the organization goes with Rodgers over McCarthy when his contract comes up.

Paxton Lynch is gonna be out 2-4 weeks now and Siemian will be the starter. I'm not sure how to feel about this. It is worth seeing if he is worth keeping around, but that was a question they wanted to answer with Lynch too. Also, Siemian gives them more of a chance to win now, but they don't really need that at this point, unless they could somehow win out and take the division at 8-8. I don't know if that's even mathematically possible with the other three teams playing each other

I respect kaepernick a lot for what he's been doing, and for standing tall against all the media bullshit he's received from people who don't even try to understand what the protest means, and go out of their way to get offended. That being said, he's probably the best free agent QB currently like you said, but he's still not that good

Edit: Earlier this season, a former viking (linebacker Ben Leber) gave speculation on why Kaep doesn't have a job. To paraphrase, he said that he's definitely worthy of a roster spot, but coaches/GMs don't want the media circus that signing him would bring, regardless of the politics. He basically said that they are way too focused on managing a football team and winning games, and signing him would be such a big distraction to their day to day operations (because of the media circus, like news vans camping out around practice facilities), which is a big reason why he doesn't have a job in the NFL.

That's an interesting writeup, but wouldn't that apply to basically every team looking for a QB? At least in terms of the FAs. I really didn't need to know that Palmer and McCown were available, hopefully he's just covering the whole market and doesn't think they are serious options.

Regardless of whether or not that's true, if A.J. McCarron interests him the most compared to Kaepernick as a realistic option, what does that say? A.J. McCarron has barely started, he has an okay arm, and he's behind a good line with one of the best receivers in the league when he does start.

yeah now that you mention it, it does basically apply to every team who wants a QB, but he did kind of specially tailor it to the broncos by factoring in their potential salary cap and draft pick situations

All he really said about the salary cap is that they don't have a ton of room and Elway would have to move some shit around. I admire that he admitted he didn't want to touch on something a bit out of his depth, but what he did say is kind of common sense some and more definitive numbers with each FA would have been nice. I'm also curious which guys the Broncos are interested in, but that would be pretty inside knowledge for some guy on reddit.

Kaepernick is being blackballed. They can cry all they want about him being a "distraction" but he's being systematically punished for upsetting the status quo. If they cared as much about managing football teams as they say they do then they would sign him because he'd give teams a better chance to win than the scrap heap QBs teams keep picking up.

Oh, I completely agree. And let's be honest, even if the NFL forces someone to sign him for optics, they ain't gonna force Elway to do it.

He hasn't gotten signed yet this season, and he won't. His career is probably done. No team is going to be interested in a guy who missed an entire year in the league and already had his production on a downward trend. Well, that's not entirely true because guys like McCown have gotten back into the league, but nobody will bring him on expecting a starter.

No they can't force a team to sign him so he will never get signed. Just like Bonds won his collusion suit but never got to play again

His career is definitely over. And I think if he wins his lawsuit (no earthly idea of how likely that is) I think he would get a payout but no job guarantee or anything like that.

I think that would be in the case of a settlement, but even then it's unlikely once I actually think about it.

I sold almost all my GB(C/A) games a while back. That line of systems just never really caught on for me, although I used to play the GBA a lot when it was new because I couldn't afford the next gen of normal consoles.

Now all I have left is Link's Awakening and Oracles, so I probably should just get the eShop versions and move on. Too bad I can't really sell the system itself because I fucked it up trying to do a (failed) light mod

Are you talking to me? Or just anyone? Because I have already played them. If you've played some of the popular 2D Zeldas, it's pretty much more of the same, so if you enjoyed those, they're worth checking out.

The biggest complaint I see is with mandatory minigames, and I'd have to agree. Those are kind of annoying. But other than that the gameplay is solid. It's pretty similar to LA, except there is scrolling within each square of the map.
