This happened at night, so it didn't affect me too much. According to the announcement that my power company put out, it was from approximately 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM, so I was asleep for most of it. I never opened the fridge and went out to a restaurant to eat dinner, but could any of the food have spoiled in that time? How long can food last in a refrigerator during a power outage before you have to throw it away?

Case by case basis. Go by sight and smell. If something smells bad, throw it out.
Else it should all be good if the door was kept closed. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

As others have said as long as you didn't keep opening it you're fine
Shit can sit at room temp for 4 hours before it goes bad, your fridge should stay cold on its own for 8 --- I could see you, but I couldn't hear you You were holding your hat in the breeze Turning away from me In this moment you were stolen... ... Copied to Clipboard!
