It feels like this is all happening at once. Why didn't this career ending accusations happen years ago when it first happened?

People were afraid to speak out because of the influence the accused people have in their respective businesses. Once one or two people spoke up, others felt empowered to speak up as well since they realized they weren't alone.

Because they are clearly males living in a male world, and all victims were sub females that were too afraid of raising their voices.

What it all comes down to is money. People didn't want to lose jobs and/opportunities, or they didn't want the whole house to come tumbling down just because the guy holding up one of the corners likes to whip his dick out at inappropriate times. It's a complex web of complicitness that was built around self-preservation.

Bob Weinstein didn't want want to seize sole control of his company quite yet.

Probably because all it takes it someone saying you touched their butt on facebook or twitter and your career is over. No trial or proof all you need is a tweet and bye bye career.

Because despite being harassed they were making money hand over fist, or at least had aspirations of such, and didn't want to risk it. Same reason the hypocritical established elite actors who condemned the behavior didn't do anything to stop it either.
