It was somewhat disturbing. Even after attempting to read portions of the topic multiple times, I couldn't make sense of anything. It's almost as though it was written in a foreign language that only bronies can decipher.

Thank god I'm back to "normal" CE. I didn't really recognize any of the posters in the MLP topic from other topics here, so I think I'm safe for now.

They are a very unwelcoming clique by now and even if you were vaguely interested in talking about the show I doubt you'd be able to do much. I can see why anyone, even without a predisposition to being hostile to the people there, would dislike that place.

Edit: as far as I can tell, it's a glorified imageboard where they share what they think is cute and also softcore porn (that can be posted here). What can't be posted here is namedropped instead. I've already questioned this behavior and I got non-answers so I think they just don't care about even talking to each other much anymore, they just... sit there posting pictures and naming non-postable pictures at each other now...

My sister bought me a book a few years back called my little brony and although I wasn't interested I still have it a read because it'd be rude not too. It was actually a really cute tale of a high school boy who becomes a brony and learns to love himself through his relationship with a girl who shares his interests.

I don't want to sound like an ass but I thought the internet is where socially anxious/awkward people came to like... not be socially awkward but that's the most awkward thing I've ever seen, there's no socializing going on it's just random words and some webcomics being posted.

That's what happens when you kill all discussion by only allowing a single topic to exist for a broad subject in which multiple topics exist to discuss.

A common one is "politics megathreads" in which after a week or so they are just nothing but links to apocryphal news sites

Very true, and the fam can't readily turn on their own and shitpost each other. The only other alternative is circlejerking each other, and they can only do that for so long before losing interest. That's why the fam general topics on here never last more than a couple days and 100 or so posts

I saw a few people post that picture on here when the movie came out recently. It's funny but also sad seeing all those grown men lining up for a MLP movie
