I've never used one before, but I'm psyched to start cooking with it. Bought it at Bed, Bath and Beyond yesterday with all those coupons they send you.

Anyways, what kind of dishes or recipes do any of you use with a crock-pot slow cooker? I'm gonna cook my first meal with it this weekend after I do all my thanksgiving events.

if you want a good easy dish with the crockpot, my wife & I really like making chicken taco bowls.

basically get a chicken breast and dump it into the crockpot with a jar of salsa and a can of black beans. set it for 8 hours on low heat and then go to work or w/e. when you get home the chicken is ready. shred it up and mix it up (the chicken should rip apart super easily) and then put the mixture into a bowl and top with shredded cheese, lettuce, guac, sour cream, whatever you want. so tasty
