flying out to Sac-Town to visit the pops side of the fam.

this time 2 years ago I was in Mexico with a friend. had a great time there, but my grandfather ended up passing away about a month later.

I hadnt seen my grandpops for about 3 years before that, and feel like I really blew my last chance to see him. making it up this year

had I know dude was having issues I obviously would not have gone, but I had no idea. ended up passing away from a heart attack :(

I'm hosting.

Cooking two turkeys, 1 rotisserie, going to injection marinade it tonight.
The other I'm going to sous vide then fry. (I've fried whole turkeys every year for like the last decade, I want something a bit different.)
Also doing twice baked potatoes, stuffing, cornbread, and cranberry sauce.
All my guests have their dish to bring.
