Easily money, in America for example it's a right of passage for children to sue their parents when they reach adulthood or for their parent's wills to cause conflict within their families when that isn't they case.

It depends... I mean, the most common thing in the developed world is certainly money. My family was always extremely close but a bunch of them going into a shitty idea of a business together (which most of us wisely avoided) ended up burning through a ton of money (possibly a million bucks) and now my one cousin has sort of estranged herself from those involved and a few other people who werent. The catalyst was my uncle dying though, because all the bullshit after his death never wouldve happened. Aside from him being the glue he was also extremely good with money.

That it happens to 70% of families does not mean the entire family falls apart, just that they lose contact with atleast 1 family member over money.

At least, that sounds believable to me.

Which is true, what we need to do is have everything be free but your required to work at least 40 hours, if capable, to be a productive member of society. If we got rid of money and just made things for people. A lot of the problems of the world would be solved. Just think of the videogame market. If every single game was free, I am sure a lot of the shifty business practices would be obsolete. Actually, I wonder how different videogames would be if that happened. Would games be a lot better or would some innovations be left out?

It's not so much tearing families apart as it is just killing them. Obama wiped out an entire wedding procession with one of his targeted drone strikes. Legend has it that the same drone would later attack the funeral procession. =p

Grudges/Jealousy would make any relationship fucked so I'd go with that. Also that seems to be the case with my family although the ones that have fallen out with each other wasn't that close to begin with so nobody cares.

Interesting. I mean if some member of one family has less money then the other and they fall out due to it then I'd class that as jealousy.
