We used to date. Were close friends. We fuck sometimes. She wants me to go because shes uncomfortable around her family, and while they sort of know who I am and generally like me, there are a couple issues:
1. It would be spontaneous, so only her mom would have any idea I was coming
2. Her sister and I currently have beef because the two of them are on awful terms and she had it out with me over it
3. I dont think she realizes that people tend to look at this holiday like a time to stay within the family

I really dont want to crash a family event, and my roommate isnt the best judge of these situations. Shes just uncomfortable and wants me there.

Nah, neither of us do. You ever date someone and end on good terms because you both mutually realize that you arent right for each other? We work better as friends, and were close friends
