Samsung un65mu6070fxza. 65" (the smallest I would accept for a 4K TV). $750.

Unfortunately they sold the TV they set aside for me (because Best Buy is klutzy) when I went back after getting a transport for it. So they have to ship it to me later.

Whatever, not a huge priority (plus saves me the trouble of having to have someone lump it for me).

I've got a PS4 Pro and an XB1X so I can finally use them as they were intended.

I bought a cheap ($400) RCA 49" 4k tv a week or so ago. I wish I could have kept it, but it had a dead pixel and unbelievably bad vertical banding, so I took it back. I was almost going to just live with it since the price was so good and the problem wasn't always visible, but it got too annoying.

I bought a 55" 1080p Hisense TV about 2 years ago for Black Friday but it was garbo for gaming so I ended up selling it at a loss and buying a 55" Vizio instead. Pretty fuckin' good TV.

I was going to make my 4K TV (whenever I got one) a Vizio but circumstance has a way of working out, I guess.

the un65mu6070fxza doesn't have true hdr. it can take the signal, but it's like displaying 4k on a 1080p screen. it will try to do hdr but it won't be as good as the real thing, but it will still be a little bit better than a normal standard tv can do.

Thousand, like Y2K.

I think it refers to pixel count but dont hold me to that.

K means thousand. it's 4000p sort of... they round up. 3840 pixels 2160 is 4K resolution. 4K tvs can acutally display 4096 2160, but it puts a border on top and bottom. i know one of my tv is is capped at 24 fps at that resolution. so i never use that resolution. it has a border and it 24 fps.. no thank you.

That means it's 2160p. The K is used because they're changing standard to imply the jump is larger than it is.
