I had zero desire to ever buy or play this game, only bought it because my brother has it.

Is it decent as far as COD goes? MW1 > COD2 > MW2 > who gives a shit because the rest is trash imo.

I feel like it's so disrespectful to the soldiers that fought.

COD2 actually handled the war with respect, WW2 looks like a Michael Bay flick. I guess it's okay now since almost every WW2 vet is dead now.

I had some thoughts about that, too.
Just the one level I saw... this guy was just sniping enemies trying to cross a bridge for like five minutes, he got shot maybe once or twice. Then the building was collapsing and he had to escape. He picked up a bazooka and shoots a troop transport. Then magically the enemy is routed.

I am not making this next part up.
Some general and a hot woman talk about how they're on their way to liberating France, and fireworks immediately start exploding over the city.

It reminds me of something from Idiocracy.

I watched a stream of the campaign and gameplay wise it looks like the same linear on rails gameplay from MW1, but with a generic uninteresting story and nothing remotely new.
I only played the beta but the multiplayer just straight up wasn't fun. Not as bad as Infinite Warfare, but definitely not fun or new or anything.

Sad part is it's still probably the second best CoD so far this gen.

Campaign is good, zombies is decent (not near as good as BO3 or IW but I won't give a final judgment just from 2 maps) and mp is good. War is fun af
