Do the texts get sent normally? Will the sit in limbo until the phone gets reactivated?

Basically does the sender get a notification (or anything) that their text "has failed to send" or are they none the wiser?

Your D pick is probably in a corporate main account made to save those messages until they can be re-sent in case the number goes back online.

I am talking about myself. My phone was deactivated for 2 weeks and I just got up and running today.

And with the holidays approaching I know I received a ton of texts / calls but I don't know what THE OTHERS got when they tried to text me. If it "failed to send" sweet; but if it went through as normal --> I got ton of folks to call back and explain... which will be a pain

Hence my initial question in my OP.

Facepalm

So no one got an answer? I mean jokes are good but a few actual responses would be good too

Bro all your "texts and calls" weren't lost in some cellphone black hole. No one reached out to u during the last two weeks, no one cares let it go

From what I got by googling(much better than answers you will get here) the other person will not get any notification that the text didn't make it to you. And it is dependent on your network as to whether or not you will receive them upon reactivating your device. If you don't have any new texts, you can call your provider and see if they can push any through, but more than likely, they are simply gone.

The MAIN problem I have essentially is that of my whole contacts:

I have no freaking clue who has / hasn't called me
.

And it would be pretty damn presumptuous to assume one person called / texted me when they didn't. So I really don't want to call each person, but I risk being fucking rude if I don't respond to them.

Shit.

Yeah that's pretty much the jist I got from googling it too. The network bit is the lynchpin of the whole thing.

If you are on Facebook, Twitter, etc, and enough of your contacts are as well, simply posting that your phone was off for two weeks and you don't know who if anyone contacted you should be enough to let people know.

Just called two folks from back home.

BOTH of them thought I was being a dick for not replying/ wishing them a happy Thanksgiving.

So Nah.. I am not so lucky that no one reached out in the past 15 days. Now I gotta play "my phone was deactivated " card (which was fucking true)......... but no one is going to believe that crap. Exhibit A - this thread

Hahaha I did that once back in college... And it was a MESS. And I don't really mess with FB that much anymore so I can't really do that.

I do this all the time since I use an app to block unfamiliar calls and respond with a text.

When it blocks a scammer using a fake phone number it says "message could not be delivered"

What would make my life easier is if I knew who were the carriers for each of my contacts. And I can just whittle it down from there.

So far (in the past half hour) I have called texted 30 ppl... And besides the first two I mentioned, all of them have been voicemail or waiting for a reply text.

So I will have to find out what circus awaits me in a few hours / tomorrow

It's just called Call Blocker

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.netqin.mm

It says blacklist but it has a whitelist feature as well and that's what I use. So unless I add you to the whitelist it auto declines the call and sends a text (you don't have to make it send a text).

It crashes from time to time so every day just check and make sure it's still running. It can't block anything unless it's opened.

"Essentially it would like someone throwing a ball over the fence and no one (me) is on the other side"

aka: "you are fucked"
