The main cast - Frank, David, Dinah, Russo, and Rawlins - was phenomenal, and it had some really great moments, but it also dragged a lot. Should have been 6 or 7 episodes. Still miles better than Luke Cage and Iron Fist, but I definitely had higher expectations. Not sure where else to place it in the hierarchy.

Really? I thought it was better than season 1 Daredevil.

To me the only time it dragged was when Frank had Micro in the chair for the whole episode. Did not like that episode

I felt it started really strong. I think Jon Bernthal is great as Punisher. Really liked his relationship with Micro was fantastic, I totally bought their friendship. Also, his scenes with Karen were still great.
The rest of it was pretty meh to me tbh. I felt that the other storylines never REALLY came together for me in a satisfying way. Maybe it's because they were so separate from Frank's that when they did converge it never felt satisfying to me. They came together because they HAD to, rather than a dramatically satisfying reason for me. Especially the episode where Yeah it helped bring our characters together and Also, the last few episodes where soooo extremely violent that I just tune out. It doesn't even upset me, I just glaze over. Especially Some great actors with great characters. But the story started strong and fizzled for me. ... Copied to Clipboard!

I really didn't like the hotel episode. --- Though the fear of death is a common one, the fear of life is a more rational one. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Also, his scenes with Karen were still great. I think it's a valid criticism. After enough violence it's hard to stay engaged, unless there's some substance. That scene in the penultimate episode dragged on too long. --- Though the fear of death is a common one, the fear of life is a more rational one. ... Copied to Clipboard!
