It only makes "perfect sense" if you just blindly accept all the bullshit at face value.

There's no bullshit except from you people. Rather than any typical suspension of disbelief that is required for any entertainment media, you try endlessly to find plot holes that don't exist, and you criticize them for doing things differently than Marvel.

That sequence where Diana gets the files and sees the rest of the Justice League on her computer is when I started cheering in the theater, looking around to the people next to me as we all had giant smiles on our faces saying "this is so fucking awesome!"

The movies are actually connected. Not just by having some of the same characters show up and not by a 10 second scene after the credits, but the full movies themselves are interconnected. That's what makes them great, and unfortunately it seems to be too much for a segment of the audience.

You don't need to watch either and shouldn't. Just about anything would be a better use of your time. They don't offer anything good or memorable but aren't bad enough to really laugh at either aside from individual moments here and there.

Wait, that tiny nothing Asian lady in the hipster glasses is supposed to be Mercy Greaves?

wtf

I should also mention that Lex is as bad as I was expecting. That speech he makes in his party seems like something that was improvised and accidentally left in.

It's really impressive how this cinematic universe completely botched both Luthor and Joker. How does that even happen?

The Luthor I give you but Jared Leto definitely wasn't a bad Joker. They didn't give him enough time to shine but it really wasn't a bad Joker. My only issue was with the over use of tattoos (they went a little to far) but other than that I liked what I had seen of him in SS. Batfleck and Leto's Joker could have made for an awesome Batman movie.

People really like to hate on Leto's portrayal of Joker but it was one of the closest renditions of him to the comics.

It wasn't close to the comics at all. It felt like a kid trying to convince us that he was the joker

Kinda right. It wasn't awful, just kind of mediocre. There were some good moments though.

I was sort of appalled by the peach tea thing because it indicated just how much of a massive, whiny bitch this Lex is.

Out of curiosity, did you catch that he's named Lex Luthor Jr?

I did, but that's even dumber because it's an insulting, copout excuse to explain why they completely butchered the character.

I agree.

I did think the dream sequence was cool though, if you accept that this Batman is a paranoid lunatic who is not above using excessive force if he deems it necessary. I think Snyder is a huge Dark Knight Returns fan.

Right when it came out, I read a review that said they believed Snyder really loves the Superman character...as a villain. But they're not going to let him do a villainous Superman movie, so he has to do a lot of bullshit dream sequences and BUT WHAT IF scenarios.

I definitely didn't like the fact that Gotham and Metropolis were so close and despite being so close, Clark had never heard of Batman.

Wouldn't be surprising. Snyder clearly has a hard-on for pantheons and Greek tragedies.

Snyder is part of the camp that thinks Superman is boring because all his powers make him OP as shit and paired with his morality he's not interesting to tell stories with.
