Okay, the dream sequence of dictator Superman with an army of parademons fit too smoothly into the movie, so I thought it was something that was actually happening for five minutes. And then it just goes straight to the Flash. That's so fucking dumb.

There's a solid 20-25 minutes of this movie that only serve as teasers for future movies. It's hilarious.

Do you remember that CIA agent in the beginning that was executed? That guy is supposed to be Jimmy Olsen lol.

It's really impressive how this cinematic universe completely botched both Luthor and Joker. How does that even happen?

Metropolis and Gotham are on opposite sides of a large river or something like that in the comics. It's not much different from the movie version. I don't think they're close enough that a tiny news helicopter can reach it, though.

There's no bullshit except from you people. Rather than any typical suspension of disbelief that is required for any entertainment media, you try endlessly to find plot holes that don't exist, and you criticize them for doing things differently than Marvel.

That sequence where Diana gets the files and sees the rest of the Justice League on her computer is when I started cheering in the theater, looking around to the people next to me as we all had giant smiles on our faces saying "this is so fucking awesome!"

The movies are actually connected. Not just by having some of the same characters show up and not by a 10 second scene after the credits, but the full movies themselves are interconnected. That's what makes them great, and unfortunately it seems to be too much for a segment of the audience.

A movie should still stand well on its own (unless it's a part of a trilogy or something). Randomly watching Batman fight parademons for 20 minutes in the middle of a movie with no context was a silly move.

It does stand on its own while getting us excited for what's to come. His fight with parademons lasted 2 minutes, not 20. Why is time such a concept you can't seem to understand?

This has nothing to do with suspension of disbelief (except for Lex Luthor's absolutely ass backwards plan) and everything to do with a fundamental inability to deliver a competently structured or themed narrative.

Similarly, none of my criticisms of BvS so much as mention Marvel.

It's a kneejerk reaction to Man of Steel criticisms lol.

Instead of Snyder taking the right lesson and actually having the scenes involve superheroes trying to avoid collateral damage in cities they always somehow end up in completely abandoned cities instead. So they can smash with wild abandon.

Though for different reasons, I think that scene does highlight a reoccurring flaw in this cinematic universe. It spends so much time trying to convince the audience of the tonal departure of its characters, and yet hinges key character developments entirely on the assumption of their previous incarnations.

Superman having to kill someone only matters if we're talking about the Superman we're familiar with. But that's not the Superman of the DCEU. Sure, this Superman seems like a nice enough guy and all, but there's no real indication that he feels the same incredibly strong moral obligation to not kill his enemies. And so it all falls flat.
