You will be shocked to know that 18-year-old, Erik Finman who is a high school dropout from Idaho, U.S, is a Bitcoin millionaire. We all know that investing in bitcoins is very volatile and risky. However, sometimes risk like this can do lots of favor, this is what happened with the youngest Bitcoin millionaire.

Erik Finman made a bet with his parents that they wouldnt make him go to college if he became a millionaire by the time he was 18. I can proudly say I made it, and Im not going to college, Finman said

It's not but most young adults should still attend for the general knowledge, experience and to further develop themselves as a person.

Life experiences can do that for you. College isn't required for that.

Lets take two potential employees for the same job. One has a high school diploma and is a bitcoin millionaire while the other has a college degree in a related field.

Just based off of that, who would the boss take?

Erik who has been managing his own bitcoin investments denies the necessity of education.

I never got my GED, and I dont see the value in it, Finman said. The purpose of that would be to get another education level and get a job. I had to learn through running a business. Instead of writing essays for English class, I had to write emails to important people.

Erik who is happy learning about the real world from experience still has no plans to go to university. Instead, he believes the internet offers a better education for free. The way the education system is structured, I wouldnt recommend it. It doesnt work for anyone. I would recommend the internet, which is all free. You can learn a million times more off YouTube and Wikipedia, he added.

He's right though....why does it take a professor an hour to explain 1 math formula when there are several youtube videos that explain it in 3 minutes which actually makes sense?

Youtube and wikipedia are great in addition to, not in replacement of, a real education

In order to fully benefit from youtube, you have to learn enough about the subject to filter out the shit and learn what you actually need. Some guy on youtube doesnt have his career and reputation on the line when teaching you, your university does. Thats why university, textbooks, and even training providers like CBT nuggets are better as primary sources of info rather than youtube.

If anything hed do best if he had a financial planner and trade school training. That way his money is being properly managed and he has proper training to make some decent money on the side.

The main problem with most "I learn everything I need from Youtube lectures" people is that when you don't have to apply the knowledge in any way, you can convince yourself that you've learned a lot more than you have.
