I wish the poll had more options for this topic.
I have driven (in the main driver's seat) while having Pokemon GO active but I keep my phone on and inside the glove compartment. ((I mainly want points for hatching eggs, earning candy for my "buddy" Pokemon)) There is only ONE location I know the cross-streets of because I had walked there prior... during my normal drive commute to my parents home, I take out my phone and 'spin' the PokeStop. In game it's exactly placed at a Stop Sign, it's perfect. It encourages driver's to fully stop. Then once i collect my rewards, I place the phone back inside glove compartment. Overall.. I do believe Pokemon GO should never be played behind the wheel. I feel ashamed of myself. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Plus it's ambiguous as to the existence of Go+ since the options imply phone-only.

I can see why: a new study says that Pokemon Go led to an increase in traffic deaths and accidents.

I can see why: a new study says that Pokemon Go led to an increase in traffic deaths and accidents. That, combined with the generally reduced player numbers seen since Pokmon Go's release, suggest the game's current effect on vehicular carnage may be reduced from that shown in the study. I was driving all around town and playing when it first came out. Actually no not when it first came out. About two or three weeks later when pokemap was a thing. Couldn't pass up good Pokmon down the block.

In other news, McDonald's makes people fat.
Can't fix stupid. Pokemon GO never "caused" traffic accidents. --- Working in a team is great! It always helps to have someone else to blame. ... Copied to Clipboard!

A rather biased poll when you lump people that don't play pokemon go into people that don't drive.
Options of "I play pokemon go while someone else drives", "I only walk when I play pokemon go", and "I don't play pokemon go" (not sure why we should bother with that last one since it doesn't have anything to do with pokemon go. I don't really care about how many people don't play it.) would have been better then lumping in a large amount of people together. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Plus distraction-related driving deaths are actually down on a national level, the increase is due to drunken driving, speeding, not wearing seatbelts, etc. So unless Pokemon Go comes with beer, it's not doing anything. https://www.insurancejournal.com/news/national/2017/10/09/466822.htm --- (\/)(\/)|-| In Zeus We Trust: All Others Pay Cash ...
