The problem here is that Pixar is just making sequels for the sake of it. At least the first two movies you mentioned were actually planned sequels, which helped to build a premise. Even when I'm in the minority who actually liked Cars 2 and prefers Monsters University over Monsters Inc. (I've yet to watch Finding Dory), it's still safe to say that Pixar has been perceived to drop in quality a few times because of its sequels.

It's not like Pixar has 5 sequels planned, it's that Disney also has sequels and remakes going on at the same time which makes the whole compay seem creatively bankrupt.

But I cant fault them for this particular lineup. Pixar fans have been demanding Incredible 2 for years, basically since they started doing sequels again, and Frozen and Wreck-it-Ralph sequels were celebrated on announcement.

Coco was a very fine offering. I'd rank it above many of the earlier pretentious Pixar movies people seem to fall over themselves for. This was as good as any of their best efforts.

As for the sequels thing, yeah I kinda feel it too. I was called a crazy person last time I said anything about it, but yes. Incredibles 2 is a long time coming though; I mean, how can you not be looking forward to it despite the nature of Disney as a company right now?

There was a rumor going around when I was a kid that Incredibles 2 was in the works with the Underminer as the antagonist. I knew it wasn't real, but I wanted to believe...

Fair, guess they're just easy to merchandise

Don't really blame Disney for making a Frozen 2 either given that's probably the biggest IP Disney's made in a really long time, maybe even ever

WIR 2 is weird but I can see them having new ideas for the characters and it seems like a very different style from the first one (Like the Toy Story movies were definitely each different)

Also people have probably seen me say this a few times here but...They cared so little about Cars 3 in theaters that the merchandise(And even some promotional material) basically spoiled the entire film well ahead of its release.

All they wanted to do was keep the franchise in the public eye so that they could sell more toys.
