Had some at this fancy authentic Chinese place on Main Street. (I know it's authentic because the hotpot my SO got was disgusting. Something about real Asian cooking kills me, which sucks but cest la vie)

Like, hours later my tongue is still numb. But before my taste buds stopped working it was great.

But my gosh I cant eat anything else outside the "American Chinese" section of the menu. Literally saw "Blood Jelly" on there somewhere. Im not that adventurous. >_>

Mapo Tofu is great. I don't like tofu, but my god I'll eat Mapo Tofu the first chance I get

Meanwhile, Blood Jelly (if that's what I think it is) works phenomenally in soups. Mexican foods use it too every now and then. It has this very thick meaty taste, surprisingly. It melts in your mouth but doesn't turn into a liquid, just sorta crumbles.

Something about blood just bugs me. I ate my steak well done through High School because I was afraid of the juice lol. Might be tied to my OCD...

But I love Scrapple so to not be a hypocrite my rule for new food is "dont tell me what its made of until Ive finished it"

Blood is pretty incorporated into all your meat though. Most like any crusty part in the outer layer is blood and fat mixture that's cooked. That's basically what Blood Jelly tastes like. It's a bit of an acquired taste but it should taste familiar.
