TC's logic is that a planet must be viewable through a telescope not that anything viewed through a telescope is a planet. One must already know that Earth is a planet for your method to check out.

I think you should make a gigantic flying telescope and send it out into the sky. It should also act as a camera, and send its views digitally into your computer thing. I even have a name suggestion for this idea, I'll call this device a... satellite.

Just to double check, point it at the Earth.

This is the point. The pictures we have now, are composites. They are created by an artist. There is only one actual picture of the earth, and its from one of the apollo missions...so, given that its 2017, we've been to the moon, have multiple rovers on mars, and have rockets that can launch, orbit, and land--but we dont have a direct feed 24 hour camera from space pointed at the earth.

Not saying i agree with TC--simply pointing out for some ridiculous reason, we literally have like absolutely no real pictures of earth. It makes no sense.

ya its too bad that anyone with an antenna can't pick up an image from one of the weather satellites
