Well, masticatingman, it's taken me three dates so far to check off #1. But on the other hand, she's texted me a bunch of times about how hot she thinks I am and wanting me to describe what I want to do to her. Here is some quick tips for anyone in TC's place (real or fake)

1. If you are going to say "is that okay?" don't say it, end your conversation after whatever you said beforehand.

2. If you are going to say "do you want to <insert thing here>" say "let's <insert thing here> instead.

3. Don't apologize for your behavior incessantly unless you are actually being and asshole and it's deserved.

4. If you text someone a question and don't get a response. STOP do not text again re-iterating the question. Wait at LEAST a few hours before you try again or even better would be waiting a day or two.

5. If you are trying to get a date with a girl, don't tell her you are open ANYTIME she is available. Pick a couple days and stick to them. This can change later, but initially you don't want to come on to strongly.

6. Confidence is key, if you are going to say something that could be construed as not confident, STOP think to yourself "does this make me look confident?" if it does NOT then pick something else to say.

It's okay Dustin1280, her response was that she'd have to help me practice. And thanks for the advice. I'm generally a pretty self-aware person, and clever enough with my words that she calls me Casanova. But I've found that while some of that confident bravado stuff works, some of it just doesn't feel right on me. She does seem to like me taking charge to a certain extent and making decisions, but she also seems to like the silly/self-deprecating/whimsical side. So I try to balance things. But for the first time I've ever tried something like this, I don't think it could be going much better.
