It would've given them some extra time to potentially fix a lot of the bugs and other issues that plague the game, and that might have been enough to take it off some worst games of all time lists. But there are still a lot of really bad design choices and other questionable decisions that would take much longer to fix. With a year of extra development it would've still been a bad game.
