Current Events > Finished Ultra Sun, but I have a lot of problems with it >_> *spoilers*

First off, they fucked up the story so much. Instead of Lusamine being this controlling and abusive parent that exploits the ultra beasts to find her husband, she is a controlling and abusive parent that exploits the ultra beasts to save the world from Necrozma. The whole abuse thing doesn't even get closure in Ultra. She never goes mother beast and never goes into a coma, she's just chilling in the ending with Lillie happily with no resolution to her abuse lol.

And Lillian doesn't even go to Kanto at the end, fucking Gladion does. Like, wut mate. The whole point of Lillie leaving is that she took back her independence from her mom and goes out on her own to save her mom and become stronger.

The main story gameplay is 90% the same. Literally the only major difference is instead of catching Solgaleo or Lunala, you fight Necrozma in Ultra Space, and you do Mina's trial (which is fight every previous captain again, then her totem pokemon >_>)
Anabel's sidequest is completely gone lol. You just find her chilling in Poni plains and she's like "I'll see you at Battle Tree lulz" and leaves.

Hau being the champion is lame imo and that steel guy replacing the fighting guy in E4 is also lame >_>

Rainbow Rocket is pretty fun, but it's not worth replaying the whole game again lol

Overall, gameplaywise it's better, but it shits on the OG story. If you played Sun, you can skip this one >_> If you're a gen 7 virgin, play either Sun or Ultra Sun. Your choice.

This is the biggest issue for me. I was disappointed with Sun and Moon to begin with, so having to play through the same stuff again was just a chore. I'm liking some of the new egg moves and Poke Ball combinations, so once I got through the game I had plenty to do. But I can't help but feel these games were just a cash grab, a cheap way to reuse existing assets to quickly slap together a "new" game before the series moves to the Switch.
