Jak 2 has a lot of bullshit checkpoints and some fake difficulty and is pretty widely hated, but I still like it a ton.

Jak 3 is amazing and I love it. Its only issue is that it's more difficult to blow up vehicles by changing your altitude below them, which has 0 utility but is funny.

However Jak II is one of my favourite games of all-time and I hate Jak 3.

Jak 3 is indeed great. The only more diverse, varied open world game on PS2 is San Andreas.

Jak 2 is a slightly above average purer GTA 3 clone with a City too sparse to ever be enjoyable to travel through. Which you have to do, a lot.

Jak X is a pretty good kart racer

If Jak X is as bullshit as the racing in Jak 2 was, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

I think I won once by deliberately going far into last place to reduce the AI's rubberbanding speed and making a tricky jump that they all attempted to do and ended up crashing instead.

And I couldn't win legitimately

Jak 3 is one of my favorite games of all time

Jak 2 is solid. It's 3 but not as good and way more frustrating thanks to terrible checkpoints

Jak X is fine but don't go into it looking for anything deep

There was a time when I considered Jak II to be one of my favorite games. Then I replayed it a couple years back and that changed drastically.

Jak 3 is still great though.

I never got around to playing the games. I bought the trilogy and a ton of other stuff when Gamestop was liquidating their PS2 inventory, but I couldn't be bothered to start anything.

Jak II is a damn masterpiece and the greatest game Naughty Dog has ever made. Jak 3 is quite good as well, but it lost a lot of the atmosphere that set Jak II apart from other video games at the time. Jak X kinda sucks.

Misread the title and thought we were also getting a Jak theme, which would've kicked ass.

One thing I love about the series is that, even though it went through such radical changes in setting and plot, when you get to the BIG REVEAL towards the end of three, that part was clearly planned from the start

Playing through the games knowing the truth about the Precursors adds some interesting, obviously intended, different readings to some things in 1 and 2

I am legitimately confused why they're making X available at all because I don't think I've heard anyone say they like it and Naughty Dog even made a joke about how bad it was in The Last of Us

I liked Jak 2 and it's fun enough for one playthrough. Don't try to 100% it without cheating, though.

Jak 3, I played about an hour and got bored and never started it again
