I think I found the point of Link's Awakening I got up to more as a kid before restarting. Dungeons 1-4 all went really fast and I knew where to go. The 5th dungeon, I know how it works and kind of what steps I need to do things in, but I definitely did not have a path through there in my mind and just wandered around a few times.

I also am trying not to be a thief, so I'm finding myself without rupees for some stuff I need. Whoops.

Just finished the Key Cavern. Put in about 3 hours on the game so far, hoping to knock it out in the next day or so.

Just made it to the fourth dungeon, will try to conquer that tonight, although i do need to work on finishing some PS4 games so i can return it to my brother as well.

Finished Angler's Tunnel, I don't remember the rest of the game as well but I hope to wrap it up in a few days.

The Angler was absurdly easy for a middle-of-the-game boss. I had a tougher time with mid-bosses in earlier dungeons.

It's very difficult to press all four buttons at the exact same moment to bring up the save screen on a 3DS.

Made it to the Catfish's Maw but now I'm playing Pokemon Silver as well! :O So much nostalgia! I first played these two games less than a week apart 17 years ago!

Since we are beginning tomorrow MSG, Lolo, and Wickle, I decided to check out if Castle Crashers supported in-game chat or if we had to use Discord if we wanted to chat. The game does support in-game chat, but you have to enable the feature in the audio settings. Also take note that you can either have it be always on or be forced to click a button each time you wish to speak (I think "T" is the default button).

If anyone doesn't want to or can't do voice chat, this isn't the kind of game that requires us to speak to each other in order to succeed.

Just finished the color dungeon (Link's Awakening DX). (with the first three dungeons done)

Man, that boss at the end of it sure regenerates pretty fast. Had to use bombs along with sword swipes to get through. Chose Red at the end.

I cleared Eagle's Tower. What a pain in the butt that dungeon has historically been for me. It's actually a really amazing design, such an intricate and complex puzzle given the limitations of the Game Boy. I still had to stop and really think things out this time.

I always pick red, as a way of carrying on with how the final outfit upgrade in so many early Zelda games was red. I use Gorons Tunic in the OoT finale for the same reason (that and it matches the Mirror Shield).

Link's Awakening complete! I enjoyed it; it had been years since I had played it, but I remembered a lot of the little secret seashell locations still.

Finished up to entering Eagle's Tower. Color dungeon was neat but not very difficult, chose red. I would like it if more Zelda games had hidden bonus dungeons.

Past N64, most do. Granted, they aren't really dungeons as much as enemy gauntlets, if you don't want to count those.

We got through roughly half the game in just over two hours once you factor in the hour or so it took for all of us to get things working and actually play. We could potentially knock this out in one other session. After having played through the game almost a decade ago with only one other person, I'm glad that we got four people. It is a blast and kind of necessary given how much trouble particular segments have been. I do wonder if the difficulty scales up (maybe bosses have more health or higher amount of enemies per skirmish) the players there are.

Castle Crashers complete! Played with my roommate on XBox. I enjoyed it for what it was; it was a pretty solid 5 hour marathon.

Going to try and hit some backlog on stuff this topic has already completed (not for points, I know).

Zelda done. Was nice to play it again, not really a game I'd replay often though. Often the game felt like it was designed with three item slots in mind, but you only ever have two.

Just booted up castle crashers...

and realized I didn't get the spyglass from that stage I died to the traps in. So I'm attempting to run through that stage solo.

Beat Turtle Rock in Link's Awakening DX.

Still have the Face Shrine and Eagle's Tower to do though! =P
(You can walk past the flame-spewer on the way to Turtle Rock while the "secret medicine" is reviving you. This allows you to access Turtle Rock (and its flame rod) earlier, specifically once you have the Hookshot, rather than having to wait until you have the Mirror Shield.)

I've beaten Link's Awakening

I managed to find all the secret seashells as I went through, good to see that I remembered every location. I was two heart pieces short when I was at the end, so I did have to go out of my way and hunt for a bit. I did end up getting everything though. It's a fun game!

In different news, got really pissed off at CC for past few days trying to get the telescope, made it to the boss and failed, grinded and bought potions and finally got through it. If I failed a second time I was probably gonna try and get KCF to halp, but thankfully didn't need to. At lv 16 now, I'll probably be spec'ing Agility from now on and just being an archer. I do have fair stats in all else.
