Sounds like they nerfed itemized deductions but buffed standardized deduction. Most calculators say I'll pay less since I don't bother itemizing.

No one knows all the details yet because as recently as an hour ago the bill was still undergoing amendments. And most people, including the people voting for it, didn't have a chance to review the latest draft of the bill released early yesterday morning.
So almost no one knows exactly what's going on. And it kind of looks like that might have been the point, since revealing more details just gave people more reason to worry. The NYT have posted the unamended bill in it's entirety on their site. It's a 487 page PDF, released less than 24 hours ago for a vote that just completed. --- Whatever happened to standards? The people who actually voted didn't even get a chance to read it yet, so we're all still in the dark. From what little we know it looks like the 1% gets tax breaks while others pay more. Oh, there are also amendments to help make abortion illegal.
