I know anything is viable in PVE but is it at least kinda fun?

I've done pretty much every other type of build but I've never done faith in any of the games.

I did faith and it was really cool for role playing but made the game kinda easy.

Probably one of the best choices for when you want to go mostly melee but want to play on "easy mode". The healing and utility spells make the game much more forgiving.

It's also great for adding some spice to an otherwise bland melee build. You don't have to go full cleric.

most of the stuff you need to make your way through the game for faith (especially if you start as a cleric / herald) is front loaded, so yeah it can be fun

Don't forgot a simple enchantment for shield/caestus and Executioner's Greatsword for a crapton of FP (plus you can buff the sword)

Its mostly end game and DLC where all the good spells attack spells are.

But you can get healing and buffs relatively early. Faith is much better in NG+.

Aren't magic-based builds absolutely trash in DS3? that's why I didn't bother playing it.

Unless they made some huge changes after release.

No. I dont know why people say this. Sorcery and pyro are the easiest way to play. You can kill most enemies with projectiles before they get close. And roll away from bosses and hit them with projectiles. Faith is also good, but not till end game. Sorcery, pyro, and faith are all good in PvP now as well after the DLC additions.

Only thing easier in PvE is probably a weapon with perseverance.

Solo it's garbage. Only good for co-op. Cast times for healing are too long for boss fights and lightning's damage is shit until late-game.

Pyromancy and Sorcery are both as overpowered as they usually are

I'm glad i made a faith build before the lighting spear spells got nerfed to hell, they were actually quite strong back then...

They still are. The issue with them is they use a ton of FP, so you cant play without melee like you can sorcery and pyro.

I agree with you, but a faith build doesn't even need attack spells to mitigate everything. raw astora will carry you until you can get a lightning infusion on something, add in the various healing/utility and you're golden

I dont think there was one.

There was one ages ago, they lowered the damage all across the board for all the offensive spells, then again this was before the DLC's were released.
