This notion that because you don't know \ what someone is doing "when the cameras aren't rolling" and therefore you shouldn't discriminate is a huge ass fallacy. I don't know why several of the messages have copied that line as if it's intelligent.

Of course you don't know who anyone is having sex with when they aren't being filmed. Every couple in existence takes it on faith that their partners are telling them the truth about their sexual history.

However when some dude is on camera banging another dude or a transgender person, you have visual evidence of exactly the type of behavior they engage in.

Don't get me wrong...I love porn. I watch a lot of it. But I'm not so obsessed with porn that I actively follow who is or isn't banging who or what type of person. My only business with these porn actors and actresses is that I watch videos of them getting naked and having sex. That's it. Sometimes they pee on each other, too. But that's it.

That's great, but certainly you can understand how these actors and actresses want to mitigate the risk of catching freaking HIV.

(and at the risk of splitting hairs, the high HIV transmission rate is for people who receive anal sex. Which, yes, makes some female porn actresses more at risk than others, but also suggests that bi male pornstars who've never bottomed are no more a risk than their straight counterparts)

It's still literally stupid to refuse to work with a male who's been tested clean and hasn't performed any high-risk activity in a significantly long timespan, if the only concern is HIV infection. But then again most porn stars aren't know for their intelligence.

I'm not saying she should be forced to, I'm saying the argument (as I'm framing it) has no merit. Anyone who has recently engaged in high risk behavior including anal sex with other men (or sharing needles+drugs~) is a reasonable deny.
