Are too afraid to say that they support Trump, even now with him as president, out of fear of backlash, public shunning, and potential repercussions elsewhere? Do you feel like the far left has gained a strangle-hold on the media and is willing to crucify anyone who does not agree with their political agenda? Or do you feel like Trump never really had much support in the first place? That the media is largely unbiased and Trump, and conservatives in general, are just that bad?

The media is a mix of both left and right, usually far left or far right since that gets more views, and Trump supporters are usually very outspoken, and not afraid of public shunning or backlash.

I think most people who still support Trump at this point are too proud and arrogant to admit they are wrong about supporting him, so no.

While I'm not a supporter, I've never been shy about having been a Trump voter. No amount of manufactured controversies or silly accusations have changed my mind, particularly given that Trump's biggest failing is an inability to deliver on his promises whereas I outright didn't want many of Hillary's promises such as her backdoor attempt to kill the gun industry by allowing consumers to sue gun companies, expanding the already onerous ACA further, and ridiculous attempts to fix a non-existent wage gap which would have necessitated punishing men for their gender.

Going by the election, he didn't.

He got less than half the country to vote for him and it's always worth keeping in mind that with any political movement, there are those who don't really support the candidate but vote for him because he's likely to further their interests, or because they feel party loyalty, or because they hate the other candidate more. Given that Trump and his opponent were the two most unpopular candidates in polling history, those effects are likely to be magnified.

How many Trump voters were true believers and how many simply held their nose and signed the ballot in order to keep Hillary out? Or because they wanted a conservative on the Supreme Court?

You do realize that Trump favors further criminalizing cannabis users, because they can then use your possession as an excuse to justify civil asset forfeiture and extorting money via fines from you, right? Hence, the appointment of Jeff Sessions as attorney general. And for all the talk of 'limited government' and 'state rights' that republicans seem to expel when convenient, their use of federal law enforcement to prosecute cannabis users or distributors in states that democratically voted for legalization of cannabis seems more than a bit hypocritical.

You cannot be a regular consumer of cannabis and support Trump without being a hypocritical moron.

Every candidate gets less than half the country to vote for them =p Voter turnout in the US during presidential elections is only around 50% and, of those, about half vote for one guy and half for the other which means the popular vote winner only breaks 25% of the country's voters.

(I, of course, broadly agree with the rest of your comments. It was an unusually important election which reinforced partisan divide -- perhaps one reason for 2016 having the highest total turnout, beating 2008's total.)

I support Trump and happily announce it, He's been great for the economy which is what most everyday Trump supporters wanted the America first/Jobs focus. and I've made a fortune in the stock market under him. He does need to ease up with petty twitter posts but other then that I've had no issues.
