Im thinking of buying a pair for a Christmas gift, and I know almost nothing about them. Im pretty sure Board 8 has at least one person who is enthusiastic about them, whats one thats a good experience or at the very least, has a fun soundtrack to sing along to?

Dont necessarily have a price limit, only one that I may have trouble getting is Hamilton.

I don't know where or if it's playing but I highly recommend Phantom of the Opera.

Have a ticket to see the show again myself next month at the Ohio Theater and I'm pretty excited.

Wicked is 100% necessary if possible.

Phantom is among my guiltiest of pleasures, Chicago is fantastic... honestly it's hard to go wrong.

Miss Saigon is what you want to see for a limited time experience.

Phantom is literally always an option, and Wicked, while great, isn't really going away.

Miss Saigon is back after a long time hiatus, and it's quite the show to see live.

I think the time has passed on you seeing Bredan Urie in Kinky Boots or Josh Groban in Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812.

The Final performance of Miss Saigon on this broadway run is January 14th

Just from looking at the description, it does seem like it's something that's up my alley too!

Well depends on what you and your partner like to watch.

Phantom of the Opera - Safe choice. Very dramatic, grand, opera-inspired show
Chicago - Sexy, a bit risque and dark, with awesome songs and dance numbers
The Lion King - Probably the most worth seeing live, the scenery, set, and costumes are amazing on a big stage
Aladdin - Also worth seeing live. Disney musicals are spectacles.

Miss Saigon is great and heartfelt, slightly heavy.

Well, you can't really go wrong with any of them...except Cats...

Cats is also one of the few musicals I didn't like, though I don't remember it well enough to do a good job explaining why.

I've seen The Book of Mormon and Wicked and they were both EXCELLENT. Would 100% recommend. I lean more towards Book of Mormon but I really just love Matt and Trey's humour.

I've also seen Jersey Boys which was a lot of fun, but not nearly as good as the other two. I wouldn't recommend it over other Broadway shows unless you are a fan of music from the sixties, or Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons in particular.

it's super cringey. unless you want to see furries dancing around, licking their arms and singing emotionally about themselves for 3 hours.....

I'll also recommend Avenue Q & Chicago. Of course Hamilton is amazing but yeah, good luck getting tickets to that. Book of Mormon is good & still running, and it looks like Moulin Rouge may be as well.

yeah, avenue q being off broadway just means it's in a smaller theater. it's very servicable though, still in midtown, and pretty fun.

Avenue Q is also something I can see being enjoyable, a bit more for me though since Sesame Street was a big part of my life as a young kid

I see some orchestra seats for Saigon being 150 total, I assume that's a really good deal?

There's also ones right at the front for 300, hm...
