It was kind of veiled, but it was pretty depressing and self-deprecating.

I tend to take that kind of stuff very seriously because I'm bipolar and know how fucked up a brain can get. I was going to PM her, but then the account got suspended. Here we are. Some people call it attention-seeking, but it seemed like she was genuinely off balance, at least somewhat, and it's really not worth dismissing if it means somebody might die or not.

Yeah. It had a few pages by the time I saw it. Most people treated it appropriately and said "go talk to a professional," to their credit, but it was pretty sad overall.

It's brutal how many people on here seem to struggle with this sort of thing. I had a good PM talk with a guy on here about depression a little while back. I don't know if it helped him much or not, but I tried because I know what it's like and that it can get better.

It's only really attention-seeking in my experience of the person actually doesn't intend to do anything - either the supposed self-harm, or make an attempt to get better, more content to throw their own pity party.

Harpie is a bit of an attention-seeker to the point of annoyance, IMO, but I'm personally not going to just assume that means she doesn't legitimately deal with those kind of problems. I'd rather have a false positive and help someone who doesn't need it, as opposed to ignoring someone who ultimately does follow through.
