im 28 right now and the older i get the more overwhelming games are getting for me and its hard to not get anxious, i didnt have this problem when i was younger. it sucks bad.

i did i just get bored and its too much for me. thats why i play fighting games because they are fast but when i lose i get pissed. i dont have patience anymore

I was like this for awhile. I'd buy the new releases and then just stop after playing them for five minutes
I just kept on trying whenever a game caught my eye, eventually something clicked and this year I think I've played more games than I have since high school

As a lot of guys get older they inadvertently become retro enthusiasts. One of the great things about a lot of retro games is just how short they were (outside of rpg's and other select genres) because of data constraints.

It could be psychological. You might be going through an existential crisis and feeling you should be spending what little time you have on something else. I don't know your mind, but I know I've had similar thoughts lately.

I'm feeling this too I guess. I just finished AC Origins, and after about 2/3 of my playtime I'm thinking when is this gonna be over so I can move on from it, even though I really like it and think it's an amazing game. It's like when I'm playing it I'm trying to hurry up and get it over with for some reason.

And now that that's done, I still have Wolfenstein 2, Uncharted Lost Legacy, Ghost Recon Wildlands, and Horizon Zero Dawn to start and I just sit there not really feel like starting any of them lol

I'm 28 and gaming feels like a waste of time now. I quit it 80% back in 2011 when I got rid of most of my games. I'll play occasionally but only to relieve stress and even then, it's not too often.
